Kristin Davis Admits Using Alcohol to Battle Shyness

With the release of the much-awaited "Sex and the City" movie, the attention is now re-focused on four women who brought us six seasons of candid banter about the personal, professional, and sexual lives of women in New York. With the release of the movie comes a revelation from Kristin Davis, who played prim and proper "Charlotte York" on the series, that she fought a battle with alcoholism in her twenties, in a bid to overcome shyness and make herself appear more outgoing.

Kristin is quoted in Shape magazine as saying, "Alcohol freed me. I was really shy and I didn't know how to come out of my shell. I drank for the same reason I loved acting. I wanted to feel things and express myself and be free. And I'm not naturally that way." Although Kristin was won her battle, there are many people who use alcohol on a daily basis to deal with feelings of shyness and social anxiety, which brings us to this week's poll:
