Can Social Anxiety Disorder Be Overcome?

I think it’s possible to overcome it to a certain degree, but I don’t think you can totally change to be outgoing. I think it takes a lot of effort too.

There are times in my life when SAD doesn’t affect me as much, and I feel like I’m getting over it. But if I have heightened periods of stress, my level of anxiety in social situations and crowds increases highly. And it only seems to be certain kinds of stress that increase my level of SAD. Perhaps if I could get rid of those particular stressors from my life for good, I wouldn’t have to deal with SAD quite so much as I currently do.
