Every year About.com hosts the Readers' Choice Awards. This is a chance for site visitors to nominate and vote for their favorite products and services. In 2012, nominations were taken between January 18th and February 16th for best SAD website and best SAD self-help tool (including books, apps, DVDs, etc.).

After nominations have been tallied and finalists determined, voting will take place between February 22nd and March 21st. Winners will be announced March 30th, 2012.

1. Best Social Anxiety Disorder Website

Do you have a favorite social anxiety disorder website? Perhaps there is a site you visit frequently for advice, personal stories, or to participate in a forum? In addition to the SAD site here at About.com, there are several other websites dedicated to the topic and to helping people through articles, blogs, public forums, and other tools. If you have one or more favorite sites, you can nominate them to be finalists in the category "Best Social Anxiety Disorder Website" for the 2012 About.com Readers' Choice Awards. You can choose to nominate up to five of your favorite websites.

2. Best Social Anxiety Disorder Self-Help Tool

Is there a self-help tool for social anxiety disorder that you have found particularly helpful? Perhaps there is a self-help book that was incredibly useful for you, or a DVD program that made a difference. Maybe you just tried out a new app that helped you better manage your anxiety. The best self-help tools are usually designed or written by experts in the field and are based on available research evidence. If you have one or more favorite self-help tools, you can nominate them to be finalists in the category "Best Social Anxiety Disorder Self-Help Tool" for the 2012 About.com Readers' Choice Awards. You can choose to nominate up to five of your favorite self-help tools.
